Shop eBay's Great Deals Like a Pro!

When it comes to searching for a fantastic bargain, you shouldn't be intimidated by the fast track of eBay shopping. Follow these easy eBay tips listed below, take a deep breath, sign on and have fun! There's few things more exciting than discovering a great deal!
  • Know your essentials - Maybe you already knew that you could follow your auction on My eBay, or that you could Buy It Now if you didn't feel like going through the auctioning process (But It Now also means "buy it fast" before someone starts bidding!), or even that using Pay Pal is the best and safest way to make a payment. But do you know what EUC, NIB or any of the other abbreviations used in the listings mean? Did you know that eBay only supports certain browsers, otherwise some features and functions used on eBay will stop working?
  • Seek and Find - There's multiple ways to search for an item. You can browse through categories, refine your search, specify even more with an advanced search or search through your favorite stores (like Bubbadah's Buys!). Once you've done all the work, you can save your search, then look it up again by going into My eBay. You can also request e-mail notifications in case you forget during your busy schedule.
  • Watching an Item - Be a savvy shopper just as you would in a brick and mortar store! Once you've found your item, make sure you read all the details. Is it used? Is it damaged? Does the seller have a good feedback rating? How much are the shipping fees? Contact the seller if you have any unanswered questions. When we list our designer clothing at Bubbadah's, we make sure to add measurements, fabric content and washing instructions to our detail page; but we are more than happy to supply any further information to a potential customer! If you're satisfied with the item and buyer, you might want to watch an item on auction before you bid. You can also add a note to remind yourself about any details concerning the item.
  • Ready, Get Set, Bid! - Now comes the exciting part, made even easier by eBay's Countdown that delivers instant item updates and lightning fast bidding. Before you get caught up in the drama, make certain that each bid or best offer you make is a serious one. If you are the winning bidder you have entered a contract with eBay and the seller. You can retract a bid if you have a valid reason for doing so as defined by eBay policy (such as a typographical error) and you retract the bid within the required time period. If this is the case, be sure to contact the seller and follow eBay's procedures.

Pretty easy, right? And eBay is continually working on making things even easier with such new features as their eBay Desktop, Best Match (which helps you find what you want from best-rated sellers) and by customizing your display with only the info you want to see.

Feel like a confident eBay shopper now? Here is a good place to start!
