Shop eBay's Great Deals Like a Pro!

When it comes to searching for a fantastic bargain, you shouldn't be intimidated by the fast track of eBay shopping. Follow these easy eBay tips listed below, take a deep breath, sign on and have fun! There's few things more exciting than discovering a great deal!
  • Know your essentials - Maybe you already knew that you could follow your auction on My eBay, or that you could Buy It Now if you didn't feel like going through the auctioning process (But It Now also means "buy it fast" before someone starts bidding!), or even that using Pay Pal is the best and safest way to make a payment. But do you know what EUC, NIB or any of the other abbreviations used in the listings mean? Did you know that eBay only supports certain browsers, otherwise some features and functions used on eBay will stop working?
  • Seek and Find - There's multiple ways to search for an item. You can browse through categories, refine your search, specify even more with an advanced search or search through your favorite stores (like Bubbadah's Buys!). Once you've done all the work, you can save your search, then look it up again by going into My eBay. You can also request e-mail notifications in case you forget during your busy schedule.
  • Watching an Item - Be a savvy shopper just as you would in a brick and mortar store! Once you've found your item, make sure you read all the details. Is it used? Is it damaged? Does the seller have a good feedback rating? How much are the shipping fees? Contact the seller if you have any unanswered questions. When we list our designer clothing at Bubbadah's, we make sure to add measurements, fabric content and washing instructions to our detail page; but we are more than happy to supply any further information to a potential customer! If you're satisfied with the item and buyer, you might want to watch an item on auction before you bid. You can also add a note to remind yourself about any details concerning the item.
  • Ready, Get Set, Bid! - Now comes the exciting part, made even easier by eBay's Countdown that delivers instant item updates and lightning fast bidding. Before you get caught up in the drama, make certain that each bid or best offer you make is a serious one. If you are the winning bidder you have entered a contract with eBay and the seller. You can retract a bid if you have a valid reason for doing so as defined by eBay policy (such as a typographical error) and you retract the bid within the required time period. If this is the case, be sure to contact the seller and follow eBay's procedures.

Pretty easy, right? And eBay is continually working on making things even easier with such new features as their eBay Desktop, Best Match (which helps you find what you want from best-rated sellers) and by customizing your display with only the info you want to see.

Feel like a confident eBay shopper now? Here is a good place to start!

Go Natural, Go Green, Go Bubbadahs!

Each year, an estimated 500 billion to 1 trillion non biodegradable plastic bags are consumed worldwide, and 14 million trees are cut down just to make paper bags. Need a visual? Imagine thousands of acres of sawed-off tree stumps overlooking an ocean filled with over 46,000 pieces of plastic floating in every square mile.

Sounds pretty bleak, right? So, what can we do about it? S.H.O.P.!
Bubbadah's Buys is proud to Start Helping Our Planet by carrying natural fiber fashion bags and environmentally friendly reusable shopping totes by Calypso Studios Inc.

Going green has never been more easy or fashionable! Each bag has a distinctive print designed by Cranston Creation artists. The woven bags use durable all-natural elements that are easily biodegradable.

While each reusable shopping tote has the potential to eliminate an average of 1,000 plastic bags over its lifetime. Do you keep forgetting your reusable shopping bags when you go to the store? Three of these 17" x 19" S.H.O.P totes, durable enough to carry 20 pounds of groceries, fold and fit beautifully into a wristlet carry bag that has room for debit cards and keys.

"Trick-or-Treat" by Lori Siebert

We even offer fun, specially designed Halloween bags that can help your little trick-or-treaters S.H.O.P. too - washable and sturdy with plenty of room to hold lots of candy!

What's Your Style?

Are you envious of those lucky few who were chosen to appear on TLC's "What Not to Wear?" Do you get lost in the muddle of brand names and labels? Does the huge variety of fashion options on the internet frighten you?

No need to be overwhelmed. Just pretend you're Julia Roberts shopping Beverly Hills in Pretty Woman and have Fun! In today's economy, savvy designers are realizing the need to step off their high fashion pedestal and cater to you, the internet consumer. This means better pricing and more accessibility to designer clothing. It also allows websites such as, http://www.covet.com/ and http://www.myshape.com/, to personalize your shopping experience so all those swirling multitudes of designer lines end up coming to you rather than forcing you to navigate through all their brand names.

Once you sign on to Covet.com, you are asked to sort through a series of photos of celebrity fashions and select which designs appeal to you the most. After you finish they sum up a "look" based on your selections (my style was Sporty Conservative, Eclectic and Glam). If you agree, Covet asks for your sizes and price ranges, then regularly e-mails items suited to your profile.

Myshape.com acts as a personal shopping assistant. Once you sign in your information, preferences and lots of measurements, Myshape tells your body type (I'm Ms. Marvelous M) and sets up your personal store where you can shop for items in suggested sizes - they even put together whole outfits that flatter your body shape.
Regardless if you like their clothing or not, I would recommend signing on to both of these sites even just to learn about your measurements, style preferences and body type, all useful tools for any online clothing shopping experience!

Luxury brand Aquascutum heading back to UK

Luxury British clothing brand, Aquascutum, will revert back to its roots after its sale to UK fashion entrepreneur, Harold Tillman, by Japanese owned Renown Inc.

Aquascutum 2009/10 London Collection

Mr. Tillman, who made history as one of the first male students at the London College of Fashion, is best known for his 1990 purchase and transformation of Jaeger, another classic British brand.

Tillman describes his new purchase as being "steeped and steeped in tradition." Aquascutum's history dates back 158 years to producing the first waterproof wool to supply coats for British army officers serving in the Crimean War. Famous customers since then have included the Queen Mother, Baroness Thatcher, Sophia Loren, Humphrey Bogart and Cary Grant.

Jaeger London clothing collection

Mr. Tillman will continue heralding Aquascutum's rich heritage, while also revamping its website and adding a high end accessory line to complement the traditional offering of coats and tailored clothing. After an initial expansion in the UK, Tillman will most likely concentrate on the U.S., Russia and the Middle East.

Hardy in the House!

Ed Hardy is Here!!
Bold, Bad and Beautiful
Irezumi, the ancient Japanese art of painting bodies with colorful portraits of brave warriors, mythical beasts, ferocious tigers and intricate flowers inspired Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins and his pupil, Don Ed Hardy, to become the most prominent tattoo artists of our time.
In 2002, Hardy began developing a clothing line for those who wished to display his art in a less permanent fashion; and by 2004, the Ed Hardy collection had drawn the interest of Saks and other high end fashion districts as well as several celebrities.
Now you our awesome online shoppers can find Ed Hardy bikinis, thongs, bralettes, and dresses at www.Bubbadahsbuys.com
