Back-To-School Tales

Summer was fun. But now it’s done. And little bare feet that once skipped across lawns and sand are now covered in brand new school shoes and shuffling to the bus stop.

You could lecture your kids once again about how you “walked 20 miles through four feet of snow to get to school.” Or you could just tell them how lucky they are that they don’t live in this small village in China:

Nearly 500 children, from Maji village in Fugong town, Yunnan province, had to cross the most dangerous stretch of the Nujiang River each day. They fastened themselves to the cable with a metal carabineer and a rope and slid across the 200 meter wide canyon.
Four-year-old children were usually taken across by their parents, and began to go by themselves from the age of five. One five-year-old got stuck in the middle of the cable for nearly 20 minutes
China officials finally consented to pay £35,000 for a footbridge after a television program did a cover story about the children's dangerous daily journey.

No matter how your kids travel to school, make sure they travel in style with the right backpack for all that extra homework!
