New York - At sunset, the famous "Tribute in Light,” comprised of 44 7,000-watt xenon light bulbs, arranged into two 48-foot squares inspired by the shape and orientation of the Twin Towers, will shoot four miles into the sky with a visibility as far as 30 miles away.

White House – President Obama will observe a moment of silence at 8:46a and take part in The National Day of Service and Remembrance developed by 9/11 families and established into law by the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, which he signed in April 2009.

Zero Tolerance for Size Zero

Got Curves?

Then Brigitte, Germany's top women's magazine, wants you!
"We are fed up with having to retouch pictures of underweight models who bear no resemblance to ordinary women," states Andreas Lebert, editor-in-chief. "We're looking for women [with normal figures] who have their own identity, whether it be the 18-year-old A-level student, the company chairwoman, the musician, or the footballer."
Could this be a trend?
  • Two years ago Spain introduced a law banning models who were "too thin" from catwalks.
  • British Vogue editor Alexandra Schulman recently appealed to major fashion houses to end the "size-zero" culture.
  • In September 2009, American Glamour magazine was applauded for publishing a picture of "plus size" model Lizzie Miller without airbrushing the image.

  • Bubbadah's Buys carries a wide selection of plus-sized clothing from Ellen Tracy, Ralph Lauren, Karen Kane, Eileen Fisher and other top designers so you can look well-dressed no matter what your size!
