Fisher-Price Voluntary Recall Information

Dear Fisher-Price Parents & Grandparents,

You may have questions about recent safety announcements for Fisher-Price toys, and I want to personally acknowledge your concerns. Many of us here at Fisher-Price are parents, too – myself included – and we share your belief that nothing is more important than the well-being of our children.

I can reassure you that our business operates in a highly regulated environment, which means that toys are overwhelmingly safe. I’d also like you to know that beyond industry regulations, Fisher-Price takes additional steps to constantly gather and review feedback about how our products are doing in real homes. We analyze this information to see if patterns are developing that could indicate a product performance or other type of issue.

Through this monitoring, we have identified a few issues we want you to know about. In collaboration with the Consumer Products Safety Commission, Health Canada and other regulators, we initiated the recall process for certain products. And we’re reaching out to parents to help you determine whether you have a recalled product and how to get a replacement part or repair kit. We’ve prepared detailed information for you at this website – www.service.mattel.com/us/recall.asp – and you’ll also find contact information if you need to speak with someone on our Consumer Relations team. For a list of products affected by this recall, see below.

We value your feedback and take very seriously all concerns reported during a product’s life span, and we go to work to fully understand and evaluate each situation. We will continue to do this.

Product recalls are a difficult part of business, and I understand they’re particularly concerning when they involve products for children. But we’re going to continue to work extremely hard to bring your family products that are safe and engaging and innovative – just as you expect from Fisher-Price.

Sincerely,
Kevin Curran, Fisher-Price General Manager

We Sell Award-Winners!

Parent's Choice Award
1) It's no surprise that Fortamajig and Connectables have earned a combination of twelve different toy awards, including Parent's Choice, Dr. Toy and Nappa!  Kids can easily and safely create their own colorful forts, teepees, mazes, canopies and more, and parents love how easily these durable panels can be washed and stored away.
Dr. Toy Award

2) It's a no-brainer that kids (and, let's face it, most parents) love fart humor, and Norman Phartephant is happy to oblige every time you squeeze his tail.  But awards from The Toy Man and Great Dad.com fortify that Norman also shows lots of brains with the educational tale he relays to kids.  Keep on the lookout for his friends, Harry Hiccers and Ben Kachoo, who should appear in our store early this Fall.

3) The easy-click colorful bricks from the Fisher-Price Trio sets made this creative building toy an easy shoo-in for the 2010 TOTY "Activity Toy of the Year Award!"

Nappa Honors
4) Teaching children good sportsmanship and fairness earned Bicycle Games' 4-Mation card game the Seal of Excellence Award from Creative Child Magazine.  This fast-moving "underhanded rummy game" proves to be a lot of fun too!

Travel Toys!

Piling the crew in the car for a family trip?  After everyone has settled in and the excitement has waned, compact toys that travel well are a parent's savior from "are we there yet?"

Children can get creative with Clip-On Doodle Pro and Mini Aquadoodle.  These toys pack easily in a child's backpack and don't make a mess!

Games are always great fun!  Try 4-Mation, the underhanded rummy card game, or Pocket Farkel, a fast-paced dice game.
Kids look forward to opening little gifts along the way!  At Bubbadah's Buys, we offer an assortment of Neat-Oh mini playmats that store in a small cylinder and offer easy clean-up.  We also carry a great selection of Imaginext Mini Super Friends (like Batman) and Littlest Pet Shop packs of three adorable friends to play with.

Have a safe and happy trip!

Summer Games: Squirt the Tail off the Donkey!

All you need for this wild water game is duct tape, white crepe paper and one water blaster per player

To prepare, use duct tape to attach three 6-inch strips of white crepe paper to the back of each player's shirt.

Give each kid a water blaster, then let the squirting begin!

Whoever has the most remaining paper once the water runs out is the winner!

Hint: Kids with Fisher-Price Turbo Blasters will have a definite advantage!  They offer a one stop fast fill water station with an unique easy fill base that fills in less than 10 seconds. These water blasters require no pumping action and are easy for preschoolers to use!
Available at www.Bubstoys.com and at Bubbadah's Buys on Amazon and eBay!
